I don’t think that people who don’t live where winter is long and hard can quite understand the emotion that is associated with getting home on a January day. You often go to work in the dark and come home in the dark, keeping an all day vigil on the sky for adverse conditions.
This is the third piece in set of black and white watercolor paintings. The snow in each print is applied by hand making everyone a little different.
