The romance of a full moon rising on a summer’s evening, with the Thousand Island Bridge silhouetted against the deep azure blue sky was the inspiration for this watercolor painting. The river at night is completely different than the day. Lights shimmer on inky blue liquid glass. Familiar landmarks all blend into an opaque mass of shapes. Most often, there is a calm and silence as the sleepy giant rests, with only the sound of an occasional passing boat.
