Believe that god must have given the task of creating butterflies over to the most artistic angels, because I can not image a more beautiful, delicate and aesthetically awesome living creature. This poem is from an unknown author.
Waiting for Thee
Don’t weep at my grave, for I am not there
I’ve a date with a butterfly to dance in the air
I’ll be singing in the sunshine, wild and free
Playing tag with the wind, while waiting for thee
While in Key West last winter I visited the butterfly conservatory. That’s where I met this one, a Tropic Queen, such a brilliant deep orange what a wonderful place hundreds of butterflies, I spent almost all day there.
Reproduced from an acrylic painting on hardboard by giclee printing.
