This view of Barney Pond is very familiar because it is only a few hundred yards from our camp on the Diamond Sportsman’s Club in South Colton. The pond is formed by a series of beaver dams that have existed for a century or more. Nestled in the wilderness a little over a mile from the highway, it is an oasis of tranquility.
