The subtlety of a soft day is contrasted by the celebration of color in this watercolor painting of a window flower box at the Falls Hotel in Ennistymon, Ireland. The variety of flora is nurtured by the misty humid climate of the area. In opposition to the frail organic forms of flowers is the stucco over stone wall of the 16th century building.
The work is designed to fit into an oval mat and is signed and numbered on the left side of the print under the window sill.
